This page exists because a quiz that asks about risk tolerance and financial goals sits closer to "financial advice" than most comparison tools do. We would rather over-explain what this tool is not than let anyone assume it is more than it is.

The short version

What you see before you start the quiz

What you see next to your result

This is the most important of the three notices on the site, because it sits directly next to the platform we point you toward, not tucked away somewhere you would have to go looking for it:

What none of that already covers

This tool is not an offer to buy, sell or hold any security, and does not constitute a recommendation of any specific investment within any platform. Account eligibility (age, residency, and other requirements) is determined solely by each platform, not by FinanzaX Decide. This tool does not account for your tax situation; consult a tax professional before opening a retirement account. While we verify pricing and regulatory information against official sources, we make no guarantee of complete accuracy and are not liable for decisions made based on this information.

How we write about the result, on purpose

Everywhere this tool talks about your result, it is written to describe, not to instruct. You will not see "you should choose X" or "we recommend Y." You will see "based on your answers, X matches this profile." That is a deliberate choice, not a style preference: a tool that disclaims giving advice and then writes like it is giving advice would contradict itself, and the disclaimer would stop meaning anything.

Regulatory information is historical

Regulatory fines shown on this site are historical, resolved matters, not active or ongoing violations. They are included for transparency about each firm's compliance record, as reported publicly by FINRA BrokerCheck, not as a live warning about current risk. A platform's registration status can change after our verification date; always check FINRA BrokerCheck (opens in a new tab) directly before opening an account.

Investing involves risk

Every projection on this site, including the compound growth calculator, assumes a constant rate of return that you can change yourself. Markets do not move in a straight line. Past performance and hypothetical projections do not guarantee future results, and you can lose money, including the amount you originally invested.

No commission weighting

The scoring logic behind the quiz and the comparison is fixed by verified platform features: pricing, account types, and FINRA regulatory history. None of the four platforms compared here is an active affiliate partner of ours today, and the scoring rules contain no term for commission at all, so there is nothing for a future partnership to bias. If that status changes, it will be disclosed at the point where you click through, the same way it already is for every other tool on this site.

Third-party trademarks

Acorns, Robinhood, Webull and Betterment are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are named here for the purpose of honest comparison. We display no company's logo or branding and claim no partnership, sponsorship or endorsement by any of them.

Related policies

This page covers what is specific to the investing app comparison tool. For how this tool handles your data, see its own privacy policy; for the terms of using it, see its own terms of service; for exactly which links pay us a commission, see its own affiliate disclosure. All three are written for this tool specifically, not for FinanzaX Decide's other comparison tools.
